This workshop serves as an introduction to the world of small business and gives students a head start on small business success.

Through a series of informative exercises, PowerPoint presentations, articles and class discussions, students will learn how five famous millionaires got their start as teens among. En route to gaining knowledge of how to start a business, students will devise a life plan that will assist them in mapping their futures. Theywill gain a better understanding of what it means to be an entrepreneur and why individuals (primarily youth) start their own businesses. In addition, students will learn how to recognize and take advantage of business opportunities, learn practical marketing concepts and their applications as well as the mechanics of a developing a business plan.
