This workshop is specifically designed to address the needs young entrepreneurs currently running or those that have a strong interest in running their own business. This multi-module program is designed to address the important issues surrounding a new start-up including management, marketing, financial, and small business resource issues.
The curriculum has been developed to meet National Entrepreneurship and Business Education standards. In addition, this program was developed to address some of the Illinois Learning Standards as outlined by the Illinois State Board of Education.
NEW! Young Entrepreneurs Program Workbook
Written primarily for students, our informative workbook provides students, educators, parents, and others with an opportunity to dialog on the discipline of youth entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Students will be able to gain valuable information on the general nature of entrepreneurship and financial literacy-working through a dozen related readings and activities that will assist them in gaining a solid business foundation.
Workbook Objectives:
- Students will learn the important role that small business plays in our economy and learn why individuals (particularly students) choose to start businesses.
- Students will learn how to evaluate and creatively develop new business ideas.
- Students will learn some of the core principles involved in small business development as well as some principles of financial literacy.
